To ensure that you feel safe and comfortable when visiting our website, we take the protection of your personal data and the confidential handling of it very seriously. We act in accordance with all applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data and data security.
With this privacy notice, we would like to inform you about when we store data and how we use it – always in compliance with the applicable legal requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Collection and Processing of Personal Data
You can generally visit our website without telling us who you are. Our web servers automatically store general information such as the type of browser used, the operating system, the domain name of your internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us, the pages you access on our site, as well as the date and duration of your visit. These are exclusively technical data that do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. We evaluate this information solely for statistical purposes and only in anonymized form.
Personal data includes information such as your name, address, account or ID number, telephone number, email address, or IP address. We collect, process, or use personal data only if you provide it to us voluntarily and if this is legally permitted or you have given your consent. This typically occurs when you enter into a business relationship with us or submit an enquiry.
Use of Collected Data
Use and Disclosure of Collected Data
We use the personal data you provide exclusively for the purposes communicated or agreed upon – generally for processing the contract concluded with you, responding to your enquiry, or sending a newsletter. If you make use of service offerings, we generally collect only the data required to provide those services. If we request additional information, it is voluntary. The processing of personal data is carried out solely to fulfil the requested service and to protect our own legitimate business interests.
User Consent
By using our website and the services offered on it, you agree that the personal data you voluntarily provide may be stored by us and processed and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Are Personal Data Disclosed to Third Parties?
Your data will be processed and used for consulting, advertising, or market research purposes only with your explicit consent. Your data will not be sold or rented. Disclosure to our partner companies (e.g., travel agencies, hotels, ski school, etc.) occurs only to the extent necessary to provide our services. Transmission of personal data to government institutions and authorities takes place only within the scope of mandatory national legal regulations.
Registration Requirement
Under Austrian registration law, you are required to register with us using the data specified in §§ 5 and 10 of the Registration Act. This includes the following information: name, date of birth, gender, nationality, country of origin, address including postal code, and—for foreign guests—the type, number, issue date, and issuing authority of a travel document, as well as the dates of arrival and departure.
Guest Register
We will record this data in a guest register in accordance with our legal obligation under § 19 of the Registration Act Implementation Regulation and store it for a period of 7 (seven) years, unless it is processed for longer periods for other purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. The guest register is maintained electronically, which requires us to forward the data to an IT processor. The data will be stored locally there. No transfer to a third country takes place.
Disclosure of Data
To service providers and their assistants who offer cloud-based software and data processing solutions for the hotel and, on behalf of the hotel, analyse and process guest data (for the purposes mentioned above).
The data categories “arrival” and “departure” linked with “country of origin” are forwarded to the municipality in which our accommodation business is located, in accordance with § 6 of the Tourism Statistics Regulation.
Ötztal Tourismus, of which we are a member, and/or the municipality must also be provided with aggregated data on the total number of overnight stays and the number of persons liable to pay the local residence tax. This is done on the basis of § 19 of the Tyrolean Residence Tax Act.
Legal Basis of Processing
The processing activities described in sections 1.1 to 1.3 above are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
Additional Data Transfer to the Tourism Board / Municipality
In addition, we forward your postal code and year of birth (in pseudonymised or anonymised form) to our municipality and our tourism board for the purpose of creating and analysing origin and age statistics. This transfer is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (task carried out in the public interest) and lit. f (overriding legitimate interests) GDPR. You may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).
Consent and Right of Withdrawal
If your consent is required for the processing of your data, we will process it only after receiving your explicit approval. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing office@feelfree.at. In such cases, the data stored about you will be anonymised, provided this does not violate legal obligations (e.g., retention requirements), and subsequently used only for statistical purposes without personal reference. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out based on the consent before its withdrawal.
Data Security
We use technical and organisational security measures to protect stored personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, and unauthorised access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data concerning you at any time. Unless a legal retention obligation applies, you have the right to have this data deleted as well as to object to its processing. You also have the right to have your data corrected, to request restriction of processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Wickenburggasse 8-10, 1080 Vienna, Email: dsb@dsb.gv.at).

Further information can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy:

Web Server Log
For smooth functioning and, if necessary, troubleshooting, web pages generally save logs on the web server where IP addresses are stored. Like many other companies, we operate our website on servers of a professional service provider. While IP addresses by themselves do not allow identifying a person, they could theoretically be associated with people using more elaborate tracking tools, but our website doesn’t. In the logs, the time, the browser type and the page visited are saved. These logs are periodically deleted after a maximum period of one month.
Contact form
If you send us queries using the contact form, your information in the query form and the contact data entered by you therein will be stored by us to process the request and in case of any follow-up questions.
However, your request can only be used by you and sent to us electronically, if you explicitly agree to this data privacy and data usage statement by clicking on the button.
We will not pass this data on without your consent. In this respect, please take note of our data privacy statement.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause damage. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies will remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to remember your browser the next time you visit. If you do not want this, you can set your browser so that it informs you about the placing of cookies, and so that you only allow this on a case-by-case basis. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Web Analytics
Our website uses functions of the web analytics services Google Analytics and Matomo. The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Matomo runs on the servers of Cookis GmbH, 6460 Imst, Franz Xaver Rennstraße 4 (Bakehouse customers). Cookies are used to enable analysis of how users interact with the website. The information generated is transferred to the respective provider’s servers and stored there.
You can prevent this by configuring your browser so that no cookies are stored. Your IP address is collected but immediately pseudonymised by deleting the last eight bits. This only allows for approximate localisation.
Data processing is based on the statutory provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG as well as Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent) and/or lit. f (legitimate interest) GDPR.
Our legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR is the improvement of our services and our online presence. As the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymised.

Use of Adobe Fonts
We use Typekit Fonts on our website. This allows us to integrate specific fonts into our pages. These fonts are provided by Adobe via servers located in the USA. When a visitor accesses our website, their web browser establishes a direct connection to these servers. In this process, the visitor’s IP address is transmitted to Adobe and stored there. Adobe participates in the EU-US Privacy Shield: www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework
Further information about Adobe: Adobe Systems Incorporated, 45 Park Avenue, San Jose, California 95110, USA. More information on data protection when using Typekit: https://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/policies/adobe-fonts.html
SSL Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content—such as enquiries you send to us as the website operator—this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL encryption is activated, data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Facebook Plugins (Like Button) – Privacy Policy for Use
Our website integrates plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. You can recognise Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button (“Gefällt mir”) on our site. An overview of Facebook plugins can be found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
hen you visit our pages, a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server is established via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that your IP address has visited our site. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our site with your user account.
We point out that, as the provider of this website, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how it is used by Facebook. Further information can be found in Facebook’s Privacy Policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

Further information can be found in Instagram’s Privacy Policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/

Our website uses plugins from YouTube, a service operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
